Theatre By The Book: Mary Stuart
Artistic Director Rafael de Acha presents another in his series of classic plays from page to stage, with a performance of Mary Stuart at 1pm at the Bass Museum of Art at 2121 Park Avenue. Enjoy Schiller's riveting, relevant as tonight's news, great historic drama about Mary, Queen of Scotland and her arch-rival Elizabeth the Great in its Miami premiere, in a new English translation. The performance will be followed by a talk-back with the actors. Presented in tandem with Splendor in the Bass, an exhibition of portraits from the museum's permanent collection. Free Sunday Tours Of The Biltmore Hotel
The Biltmore Docents, members of Dade Heritage Trust, offer a free walking tour of the Historic Biltmore Hotel each Sunday at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30pm, starting in the upstairs lobby by the front desk. When available, they take you to the 13th floor where the murder took place that created the ghost of the Biltmore. These 55 minute tours are free. Prehistory of Southern Florida by Michele Williams
Michele Williams of the Florida Public Archaeology Network will offer a presentation on the Prehistory of Florida to the members and friends of the Miami Pioneers and Natives of Dade at 2pm at the Central Christian Church, 222 Menores. You can encounter archaeology in every region of Florida. Learn about archaeological sites, museums, and events and how to volunteer to help conserve, study, and spread the word about Florida's buried heritage.
